Not my best work, but I was in a real hurry, just in case he was right.

Ok, now what? Dec 2012 from the Mayan doomsday prediction? Is it gonna be a massive solar flare that’s going to obliterate the world? Maybe we should get ready right now or simply expect Superman to save us.

      Gordy,

The answer to the question, “Ok, now what?” Is not found in the Mayan calendar, or even in the formidable powers of my favorite native of Krypton.

Dear friend, the answer is found in the Bible. Just because Jesus didn’t comply with Harold Camping’s foolhardy, presumptuous schedule, Jesus nonetheless is STILL going to return:

Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”

Mark 13:33: “Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.”

I Thessalonians 5:2, “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.”

When that happens, Philippians 2:9-11 says, “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

If you are really concerned about “What now?” then recognize and acknowledge that you are a sinner, a breaker of God’s laws, just like me and everyone else. Our sin separates us from a Holy God who cannot tolerate iniquity in His presence and must judge it. Yet He is also a merciful loving Father who sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die in your place and my place, paying the price for your sins so that you need not serve the penalty of an eternity in Hell, but can instead have eternal life in the perfection of a New Heaven and New Earth. It is free, you can do nothing to earn it or purchase it, because this “pardon” from your “death sentence” was purchased by Jesus Christ alone when He died on the cross in our place. It is a gift, but like any gift, it only becomes yours when you receive it. God’s word, the Bible, tells us it is only received by turning from sin in repentance to turn to the Son, Jesus Christ, trusting in Him alone as your salvation. In John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Jesus is the only way: Not good works, church attendance, charitable giving, Buddha, Mohammed, Krishna, Ganesh, or anything else. I pray you will read the Book of John and come to know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. You must be born again.

Superman rocks, but only Jesus saves.

      Blessings and thanks for reading,
